Vietnam trip (Day 1)

Ho Chi Minh City
Ben Thanh market + night market
No pic. Would upload it when I'm back to Malaysia as I could only upload the photos from the camera. A bit of Malaysia's type of speaking English with larhhh(s) and bahh(s) etcetera.

We woke up really early this morning. Like supposed to be 3:30 am, but I don't know why I can't fall asleep last night that it took me hours turning around on the bed. So it's about 12 ++ midnight only I did fell asleep, and I guess I was too tired that I couldn't hear the alarm clock, so yeah my mum woke me up at 3:52 am.
The taxi came around 4 and there we go straight to the airport and the plane took off around 7:00 am. And we finally reach Vietnam around 8:00 am (local time - 1 hour later than Malaysia).
The whole flight took us about 2 hours ?

1st day in Vietnam is more of a free and easy type of trip. So firstly we went to like leave our luggage (we were to early to check in yet) in the lobby of our hotel. The hotel we are staying in is called THL hotel ? I don't know the full name but that's the nickname of it. The reason my dad chose this hotel is because it is a spa hotel too, and it's like super duper near to one of the most famous market here which is the Chợ Bến Thành market.

After leaving the luggage, we went to a nearby restaurant to have our lunch which is beef noodle. The reason we are having it is that Vietnam is famous for their beef noodles and spring roll (in Malaysia, we call spring roll as popiah which is really not my cup of tea) Ngaww, too bad I'm also not a fan of it since young (guess I don't really have the fate to taste the specialities of their food ? Hahaha) and also I have already stopped eating chicken so I just go with plain kuey teow soup.
They said it's one of the best beef noodle they had ever had.

After that, we went shopping at Chợ Bến Thành market. So these are the few random pic on the way there.

Honestly, I don't like their concept of thinking of how important a first customer is. Like if I'm the first customer of that store, it's almost a must for me to buy the stuffs I am interested in. It's like I can't be curious and bargain around the price, even if I'm not satisfy with the price they had given, it's like they would scold you and force you to buy. Of course they would start reducing the price but still it's kind of like a force thingy. They believe if the first customer doesn't buy anything, it brings bad luck as the first customer is like a representative of luck.

Never mind about that, we bought quite some stuffs. Like yeahh, when we were buying some jerseys, we were planning to buy like 4 of em to let my cousins and us wear. So yeahh, we aren't satisfied with the price as per piece costs us around 26 USD or around 520 000 Vietnam Dong or around RM78 HAHAHAHA I'm such a cash converter. It's quite expensive though. So of course larhh, we got scold by them lol. And at last we did buy as they really mark down quite a lot. Like they sell at 10 ++ USD per piece. I guess I finally own my first ever jersey ahahaha.

So after that, we went to some local goods store which sell dry or presavative foods like nuts or those presevered mangoes and tamarind etcetera. It really does sell good stuff. My dad bought like a lot of stuff from that store. It's actually also quite a coincidence though, that my dad actually tried one of those dried sea coconut from a friend and he like it. So he took a picture of the packet. And who knows how, he actually wanted to show the person working there the packet so they would know what sea coconut is actually is (he had been explaining for a long time, but they couldn't get what he meant). So when he show them the picture, it is actually their shop's name HAHAHAHA. Like out of 101 shops, we went into that one and it is their store. The store is called Hông Huân (I'm not sure about the symbol on top of the words), of course I don't understand what it means larhh. But I learn something that they actually pronounce it as huan hun or something like that, while we on the other side kept on pronouncing it as hong huan hahahah
We bought a lot of stuffs there. Like they had this really cool soursop candies which I find the nicest in the whole store

Later we went back and had a nap. Overtired due to the lack of sleep.

Then later, we went out again and we went shopping around the same market.

At last, we went to a decent gallery restaurant for dinner. Really beautiful restaurant. PMG ART & CAFE. They actually doesn't allow pictures to be taken there, but I already took a few as I didn't see the signboard, too tiny sia, so I did take some of the pictures, just too bad all the pics are in the camera, that's why I couldn't post it now.
I ate tuna pizza (7 inches) and trust me, it's probably the best tuna pizza I had ever tried in my whole life

At night, we went for the night market. And yeapp, they sell almost the same thing we can find in that market. But yeapp I bought a bag, and again kena scold. Haizz, again those first customers rules thingy.
But anyhow, they do apologize at last, we did buy it in quite a reasonable price also. So haizz forget about it bahh.
